It’s a great day to be outside painting the exterior of my studio! The North side got the works today. Brush and roll action is how the paint is being applied. Two tones of gray will cover the tan primmed exterior. Facia, gutters, and rain barrels will be installed later. Behold the fabulously beautiful pink front door!

12 truckloads and counting That’s a lot of moving!
Unpacking has begun I am finding some of my favorite specials and treasures. Old friends are here to play! Loyal and supportive. I love these friends. Blue. Yellow. Graphite. India ink. Tried and true varnishes and fixit tapes of all colors.
Spring is upon us and so is the mud. Stay tuned for more excellent news on the solar panels and mechanical room installation.

Take a moment to look at the sunshine and shadows. The details reveal a delicate space. The light helps my eyes see the nuances. Water is fleeting in nature. When it’s cold outside there is snow. A slight shift in light intensity or elevation is enough for snow to become rain. Living at 6,800 feet elevation is the best opportunity for viewing weather patterns and the behaviors of water. Amazing things happen when I change perspective.

It’s time to move in. It’s been so much fun to build from ground up. Next phase is even more exciting and fun. Move and unpack. Where to put the tables? The driveway is a muddy mud pit. Which makes for a great time with the slip and slide! Road base and road grating is coming up as soon as the ocean of mud dries out. It’s pack and load time....

It’s been wonderful weather full of sunshine and blessings for the exterior painting. I started on the north side of the studio building! This may take some time to complete, but it sure is nice to be outdoors in mid February. The color is going to be great. I just can’t resist opening with a pink door! Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.

Harry Anderson the maestro is at it today! We had to take a break from the floor cleaning to get the furnace up and installed. For now it’s going to be on a propane system. We are waiting for the mud to dry up outside. Solar setup and utility room is going to begin when the snow is gone and the ground is dry.
