The rough In is nearly complete. Harry is just finishing the electrical installation and has moved onto insulation. The roof is on. The hot water solar panels are going to be going up on top of this roof. Stay tuned for more excellent news on solar Offgrid artist studio construction.

Cement pouring happens. Today is the day we pour the steps and driveway pad. The south utility room cement slab was completed also. We are so grateful to Lovato Concrete of Trinidad Colorado, for stopping by to flow out the cement pour today.

Beacon Pink is under way. Tracking down the varnish was a nice challenge. Alas, Sean in Missouri is the real hero for the amazing handling of speedy delivery to my studio in Colorado. The 20 gallons of varnish is just excellent. Check out some of the production images thus far.

The footings for the utility room is happening. This addition will house the batteries, charge controls, inverter, and shelving for storage. The roof is where the solar panels will be installed.

Production begins....Living at 6,800 feet elevation in south Colorado is an excellent opportunity for observation of light and weather patterns. Water comes in many forms and is delivered to Earth by way of humidity, rain, dew, snow, hail, sleet, mist, etc. Sometimes the waters are calm, clean, and safe. Other times that same water boils and brews danger and evil spewing forth vile pollution. How do we know when we are safe? How do we know when the danger passes and the coast is clear? Where are the safe harbors during a tumultuous storm? How do we navigate the darkness? Where do we turn when the forces of darkness come to extinguish the light?
Beacon- noun. A signal light or illuminated object set up on high elevation to serve as a warning or helpful guide to navigate through danger or troubles. A source of light. A ray of encouraging hope that ignites inspiration.
