It’s been wonderful weather full of sunshine and blessings for the exterior painting. I started on the north side of the studio building! This may take some time to complete, but it sure is nice to be outdoors in mid February. The color is going to be great. I just can’t resist opening with a pink door! Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn.

Loving the new hand built duct work ! The company cold air returns are going to be added bonus for the furnace. Fun times on a small platform. While Harry is working on the furnace installation I am scraping the floor’s and caulking the exterior windows and getting ready to paint the front door.
Harry Anderson the maestro is at it today! We had to take a break from the floor cleaning to get the furnace up and installed. For now it’s going to be on a propane system. We are waiting for the mud to dry up outside. Solar setup and utility room is going to begin when the snow is gone and the ground is dry.

Rain Under varnish, pigment on wood panel 20”x20” Another bit of wonderful news! Thank you James in Colorado Springs for adding this to your private collection! It is thrilling to be to this stage! Sweeping the construction debris. It’s chilly outside. The winter winds are blowing and the snow is swirling. Yet the interior of the studio stays above freeze due to those south exposure windows. We are currently washing the floor and prepping for the clear coat.
Clean up progressing nicely! Amazing how much there is to do. The initial sweep is the start of the floor finishing work.
Time for the clean up and removal of the construction debris. Work tables with wheels is very exciting. Work sinks are hooked up! Next is the heater and solar panels. Right now we are powered by the orange and green extension cord running to the main house. More exciting developments are around the corner.
Thank you to my private collectors in Toronto, Canada! Mr. had called me and wanted to buy a special painting for his wife for Valentine’s Day. He explained what a lovely wife he has and he wanted something extra special for her. You see, he explained he had not been listening to his wife lately. So he thought long and hard. Finally Mr. asked his wife if he could get something to represent the importance of listening to her and each other. They decided together to buy a painting for their home that would be a symbol of listening and understanding.
With great joy in my heart, they contacted me! Happy Valentines Day to Mr. and Mrs. private collectors in Toronto Canada! May the painting fill both of you with joy and happiness for years to come. It’s time to look at color! Winter greys will lead to spring festival of colors. It’s right around the corner.
